The prime-minister of Thailand says he plans to use Section 44 powers to kick-start a project to build a high-speed railway line. Prayut Chan-o-cha told reporters at a media briefing yesterday he would be invoking Section 44 to get the Bangkok-Nakhon Ratchasima project back on track.

Thailand based carrier Bangkok Airways has just released details of planned additions to flight frequencies, routes and destinations. A statement explains that the airline plans to launch routes from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport to Nakhon Ratchasima and Vietnam’s Phu Quoc Island.

Thailand’s transport infrastructure chief says construction of a sampler section of hi-speed train line has been delayed yet again. Chaiwat Thongkamkoon told reporters there is a difference in how Thailand and China measure the gauges of tracks and these need to be resolved before any work can go ahead.
