How to get from Delhi to Jaisalmer

Delhi, the capital of India, is connected with Jaisalmer, a city in the western Indian state of Rajasthan by a daily direct flight and direct trains. There are no direct Delhi–Jaisalmer buses but it is possible to travel via Bikaner or Jaipur.

There are no direct buses between Delhi and Jaisalmer. Bussing to Jaisalmer requires changing buses at Jaipur or Jodhpur if you travel via National Highway 48 or at Bikaner if you go along NH11. All of these three cities have regular bus service both with Delhi and Jaisalmer.

Where to change buses between Delhi and Jaisalmer?

From Jodhpur there is a better choice with travel time to Jaisalmer between 5 and 7 hours.

Direct options are rather limited. There is only one daily direct flight between Delhi’s Indira Gandi International Airport and Airport Jaisalmer operated by Spicejet airline taking off at 8.45 am.
