Bus Standard AC, Hanh Cafe, Mar 5, 2020
well,.. we left 10 min early, after first 50min we had 30min lunch break..then we arrived 30min sooner than expected and to totally different place - it was apx. 1.5km further away from the place 12go.asia had informed us in the ticket/their website. it looked like they deliberately made us go off the bus somewhere else so that their friends on motorbikes could earn some money by taking tourist to hotels (since we arrived to a totally different place).. luckily, nobody took the motorbikes :)) such scams should be avoided and the bus should end as anticipated in the ticket...

Very good service. The tickets I purchased through 12GO were significantly cheaper then purchasing them through Vietnam Rail online.

Booking process easy and no issues with tickets at the station. A lot of discarded rubbish on train. Train a bit full after Tet so couldn't choose seat on view side; but that's life and the journey itself was a great way to see Vietnam.

Bus AC Seater, Hue Tourist, Jan 22, 2020
Turned out to be a small van rather than a bus, very little AC and the driver was kind enough to stop for him to have a bathroom break while no one else got the chance. Have seen much better service for cheaper in Vietnam.

Booking the seats and trying to understand right-side and left-side of train was difficult. I wanted to get the right-side but got it wrong. If that could be made simpler, would be great. Otherwise great trip. Also, I found the attendants on the train to be particularly happy and very welcoming. Thanks Bob (Canada)

Our family took the 2nd class train from danang to hue after reading about rave reviews on catching scenic views of hai van pass during the ride. We did manage to catch glimpses of the views along the way on the rainy day but the train is old and it was not a comfortable ride due to cleanliness of the train, local passengers sitting in front of us have pushed back their seats to the max and limited leg room left for us etc. We did the return trip via private bus, it’s definitely a much better choice as you can stopovers to take pics and truly catch the scenic views of hai van pass.

The train trip was lovely. Great views, I booked seats 43 and 44 to be on the ‘right side’ which was meant to have better views but the seats were on the left side of the train. Can’t be helped and the mountains were still nice. Booking process super easy through 12Go and great price :)

The seats were broken and there was no way of making the seat upright as the button was broken. Window glass was not clean. So 2*, but I've given 3* as I was able to find my bag which was left while deboarding.

Mid morning train that left on time and arrived 10 minutes early. Provided opportunities for great views of the coast and countryside. Cabin was clean and tidy but we suspect the sheets and pillows were not changed. Lucky there were no other travelers in our 4 sleeper cabin so we had lots of room and privacy.

Stopped halfway at some cinnamon oil factory to try to sell it to us, then stopped to wash the bus and fill up with gas. Otherwise, picked up a couple of km away from our departing hotel and dropped off right outside our arriving hotel. Wifi on the bus was fast and free.

Amazing views, great service, better than most western trains. Cheap beers on train, and cheap tasty food on train. Anyone who complains simply has no understanding of what travelling is! Pay the money and take a private car if you don’t like a bit of dust or noise!
