The distance between Coron and Manila is approximately 440 kilometres via Tagaytay–Nasugbu Hwy and you have several choices to cover it – either by air or by sea. Ferry from Coron to Manila

Crossing the sea between Coron to Manila is also pretty straightforward. You can choose from one of 2Go's accommodation onboard their vessel St Augustine of Hippo that sails for Manila every Thursday and Sunday at 4.30 pm. Travel time usually spans between 12 to 15 hours.

Note! 2GO sails from Coron to Manila on THURSDAY and SUNDAY.

If you are on a budget and don't mind sleeping in a non-airconditioned area, you can book a bed in their Super Value Class for PHP1400. If you want something budget friendly but air-conditioned, you can get a bunk bed for PHP1900. These tickets include a meal but you pretty much have to pay for everything else like your blanket and sheets or if you want your meal served by the staff.

If you have a bit more to spare, you can book either the Cabin for 6 or Cabin for 4 for only PHP2800 per pax.

There are onboard amenities and facilities such as a spa, salon, charging stations, cafes, and karaoke. There's a small convenience store too but everything is expensive as can be expected so better bring your own pack of instant noodles or bottled water if you want to save.

Also, don't forget to bring a shawl or jacket as it can be chilly at night.

If for some reason, you were unable to secure a ticket from 2Go, you can try sailing with Atienza Shipping Lines. It sails once a week from Coron to Manila every Saturday at 6 pm. Tickets should cost PHP1200 for a non air-conditioned accommodation and PHP1300 for the air-conditioned area. There isn't a lot of information online to confirm if these are the latest price and schedule though so we suggest you check with their office to verify.

Flights from Bususanga ariport to Manila

As of this time, there are two airlines offering direct flights between Coron and Manila.

You can book one of their daily flights for just about PHP2,700-PHP3,200 one way per person that comes with a free 15-kilogram baggage allowance plus an extra 10-kilogram for check-in baggage. Anything in excess of that will cost you PHP150 per kilo.

Alternatively, you can book your flight with the popular budget airline, Cebu Pacific. Year-round fares typically range between PHP3,500 and PHP5,700 per pax with add-ons such as baggage allowance, meal, and insurance available. With advanced planning, you might be able to score hugely discounted tickets when they run their frequent seat sales. Lastly, the country's flagship carrier, Philippine Airlines, can also bring you back from Coron to Manila but with a layover in Cebu. Total flight duration is about 2 hours and 45 minutes and tickets cost between PHP5,400 and PHP12400 per pax.

Poor information about linen and blanket issuance... the people in the linen office also made some sort of joke amongst themselves during my efforts to ascertain how the linen issuance was working: very unprofessional and rude!

Never again. Airco was "Under maintenance" on our side of the ship with no ventilation and so many persons to heat up the tourist class, it was unbearable. You shouldn't have sold tickets if you can't deliver what I paid for. The included meal was cold rice with 4 miniature spring rolls. Departure was 70 minutes late.

The time got changed a lot and got really late heads up. The delayed from the latest change was about 3/4 hours. The boat took 15 hours instead of 11.

We had to be at the pier at 6 while the boat was not reading for boarding until 7pm. We then stayed at Coron pier for 3 more hours and only then they announced that there was a delay due to technical problems, leading to a delay in late arrival in Manila, which affected me arriving at work on time. I requested a letter, which I received, but after several hours waiting for it. Food was again mediocre, soap ran out very quickly, hygiene was low at the toilets and this time no fan was working while on the way to Coron there was at least some kind of chilling mechanism. Not my favorite way to travel and in the end not that cheap either.

It was a good trip. Very stable ride and crew are nice. I love the Halloween theme and the efforts put by the crew. I On improvement - I think the group tour is not control properly - that time there was a marine academy school with 250 pax roaming around the vessel that sometimes bothers me.

Very smooth ride. Small bed but ok matrass. 50 peso for extra blanket which was necessary because of the AC. Only bad point is the procedure to be allowed on the boat: we bought the ticket online and we had to go to a 2go office to make it official. Went from Airbnb to 2go in Coron town, they send us to 2go office near the port, they send us to the office in the port. Only the online ticket should be enough, no need for so much hassle.

Awesome ferry journey, there was live music, drinking, dancing and kareoke! I didn't expect this at all so was really surprised at how fun the journey was, the best way to travel in the Philippines. The rooms had ac, bedding was provided (and it was very clean) there was a small shop and a canteen! All round a great service

I ended up upgrading to mega value because the super value was too hot. The upgrade was 150 pesos and worth it. After that, the boat was great! It ended up turning into a party in the main lobby
