Passenger reviews out of total 35,236 passengers traveled with us on this route

At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that though we are closely monitoring services, we are still an agency marketplace - meaning we focus on ticketing service and route availability / coverage rather than on factual seat recline angle you got today ^_^

★★★★☆ May 28, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways)
★★★★☆ May 27, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Ticket pick up from 12 Go Asia was seamless. Our party of 4 was given all separate lower berths although we requested to be paired. This was easily fixed by communicating with the individuals in the respective upper berths. Some of the train staff was rude but others were very helpful.
★★★☆☆ May 27, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Uncomfortable bedding, aggressive staff. But overall, the sleeper train served it purpose; sleep!
★★★☆☆ May 27, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK)) :
The attendant could have been more friendly and helpful. She did not speak English too and could not tell me about being able to exchange a ticket for some snacks at the rest station. Overall, if you could, book Siam First as that is better than this brand in terms of the communication, service priority, as well as the many snacks you are offered via Siam First :D. For Lignite, the bus arrived 2.5hrs ahead too, hence I ended up having to book an additional night's stay for better rest. The bus had many stops along the journey, where the lights will all be lit and you cannot possibly sleep for long. Goodluck with your travels! Overall it is not too bad, but Siam First is better and cleaner, more luxurious.
★★☆☆☆ May 26, 2017 (train #52 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
I rode the train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai and it was amazing so I planned to take the train back to Bangkok but the train from Chaing Mai to Bangkok was disgusting there were dead cockroaches and live ones crawling up the curtains I saw not one or two but about 6 live not including dead ones. I was riding the sleeper train and even though I ate before I got on the train I became hungry again as I walked to the restaurant cart a disgusting stink was everywhere I pushed past it and I ordered anyways. I ordered the sweet and sour chicken with Jasmine rice it was extremely cold and didn't do much for my stomach. I made a poor choice ordering the food when I had heard a lot of horror stories but I was extremely hungry. Honestly it shouldn't be that big of a problem to at least give me hot food.
★★★★★ May 26, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline) :
Cool lights, nice snacks, fun seats
★★★★☆ May 24, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Service was good and we enjoyed the experience. Loved the screen telling you when bathrooms were available. The only negative was that it was so cold in the car.
★★★☆☆ May 23, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
I wish I could give this trip more stars but the lack of food and any dining area killed the evening ride for us. Three stars for a good bed, very important. But no towels and just a lack of amenities did not add up to first class. That being said I slept well so I guess that is the point.
★★★★☆ May 23, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways)
★★★★☆ May 22, 2017 (train #14 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Fantastic staff on board, however they got us all up at 5am! It made for a very long day.
★★★★☆ May 22, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways)
★★★★★ May 22, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
A bit of a bumpy ride at times, but spacious private cabin and decent sized beds. Ordering tickets and picking them up was a breeze. (Tip, buy your own food before getting on the train. Food is not that great and very expensive.)
★★★★☆ May 22, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK)) :
Far more comfortable than expected. Lots of room and the chair reclined quiet far back. The bus was on time. Left Chiang Mai dead on time and arrived in Bangkok an hour early
★★★★★ May 20, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Very satisfied with first class. The train cars are very new and were spotless. Very nice to be in a quiet, isolated environment when making a long journey.
★★★★★ May 19, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Booking and collecting tickets were a breeze. Simple, clear and precise. There was a couple that accidentally booked the wrong date and got a refund with instructions to purchase a new ticket instantaneosly.
★★★☆☆ May 18, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK))
★★★☆☆ May 17, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline) :
The food is terrible and the bus stops only once after 6 hours on the road
★★★★★ May 17, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways)
★★★☆☆ May 17, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK)) :
I really liked it. But I got woken up too many times. So did not really sleep well. And also, I was 2 hours to early in bangkok. It said I wouldve been there at 7 but I was there at 5, so had to wait for a long time.
★★★★☆ May 17, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline) :
Pleasent long bus ride, but stops too many times to wake you up.
★★★★★ May 14, 2017 (bus VIP24, Bangkok Busline)
★★★★★ May 14, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Es hat alles problemlos geklappt. Die Tickets waren schon einen Tag vorher abholbereit. Der First Class Sleeper war sehr komfortabel mit Fernsehen, Internet. Man konnte auf den Betten gut liegen. Allerdings war das Abteil etwas stark heruntergekühlt, sodass man sich gut zudecken musste.
★★★★★ May 13, 2017 (bus VIP24, Bangkok Busline) :
We were a bit nervous to try the bus on such a long distance but it was very comfortable and easy. We were very satisfied and would recommend the same bus to anyone.
★★★★★ May 12, 2017 (train #52 Class II Sleeper Fan, Thai Railways) :
Excellent trip....very comfortable and staff very helpful :)
★★★★☆ May 9, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
All good except a/c toocold and need more blankets.
★★★★★ May 8, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways)
★★★★★ May 8, 2017 (bus VIP24, Bangkok Busline) :
Great efficient service.
★★★★★ May 7, 2017 (bus VIP, Bangkok Busline) :
Nice food, nice service, pleasant ride. Absolutely worth the money.
★★★★★ May 7, 2017 (train #8 Class II AC, Thai Railways) :
A great experience, second time I've used 12GoAsia, everything went very smoothly
★★☆☆☆ May 7, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK)) :
My friends and I got on a Lignite bus to Bangkok and we could not be more disappointed with the service. We have had this same problem on a previous night bus of the same company, and we will not be recommending to anyone. First of all, the seats weren't the ones we had originally booked. Also, the attendant on the bus was extremely rude, ordering us not to put our bags in certain places, which we moved immediately and apologised. She took my friend's blanket from underneath her feet and then shouted at her when she took one from another seat. The entire time she was walking past us she was saying to the bus driver, "farrang" which we know means "white person", which is extremely racist. She hit our feet when we propped them on the ledge in front of us instead of asking politely for us to move them. This is absolutely disgusting service and we would expect some sort of refund or gratitude as this was not the bus journey we expected, or the service from Thai personnel, especially as this is the second bus we have got from your company.
★★★★☆ May 6, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Great on-time journey! Comfy beds but would have been better if cabin lights had been dimmed.
★★★★★ May 6, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Easy to pick up our tickets, and the train was on time.
★★★★☆ May 6, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Great trip. Service good, food good, aircon too good (have something warm handy)
★★★★☆ May 5, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Good stuff!
★★★★☆ May 4, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways)
★★★★☆ May 3, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
12Go were abysmal... Originally booked and paid for First Class Sleeper - which was available - only to be given Second Class tickets upon collection in Chiang Mai. Went straight to the station and upgraded the tickets to First Class... The issue here is that having to book through an agency to collect and pay for your tickets on your behalf means that you have no control over what you end up with. If we could obtain the tickets we originally requested in person then why could n't 12go given that's what they're providing a service for?
★★★★☆ May 2, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
The train ride is fabulous if you get the first class sleeper car. Make sure to bring an extra blanket it gets very chilly on the train and bring some food with you in case you get hungry! But it was a fabulous experience I would recommend it at least once
★★★☆☆ May 2, 2017 (train #14 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Unlike the perfect train we took to Chiang Mai, this was very old and noisy.
★★★★★ May 2, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Excellent service, everything went smoothly- highly recommended
★★★★★ May 1, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Train journey on the return leg was fantastic. No 10 Train...very new and modern. Excellent facilities overall. Staff ensured everything was comfortable for passengers too. Well dine to all
★★★★★ May 1, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways)
★★★★☆ Apr 30, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Bed and service were awesome..just the food they sell inside could have been better
★★★★☆ Apr 29, 2017 (bus VIP, Bangkok Busline) :
Incredible bus with reclining seats and foot rests. The chairs were massage chairs!! And there were TVs in the back of the seats with movies and games. The bus itself is 5*. Unfortunately the staff were a bit rude and loud music was playing from 4am until we arrived at Bangkok at 5.30am. Definitely worth paying for vip though!
★★★★★ Apr 28, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK)) :
V good
★★★★☆ Apr 28, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Very easy booking process and pick up for tickets was very straight forward. Nice space in 2nd class. Wasn't prepared for the bright lights but managed to sleep by covering face for a few hours. People are quite loud when getting on and off the train which meant sleeping for long periods of time was near to impossible. Carraigages and toilets very clean. Air con was very cold and then half way through the journey seemed to switch off which meant it got very hot. Came back on soon after and went back to being quite cold. Bring layers. Arrival into Bangkok was very slow. Eventually arrived 2 hours late but no bother as it was still early morning.
★★★★★ Apr 28, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK))
★★★☆☆ Apr 28, 2017 (bus VIP, Lignite Tour (PK)) :
It's the 1st time for me to experience night bus in Thailand, nothing much to compare with the other method, but I would consider to take a trip by train next time. The seat was comparatively comfortable and not that small or squeezed. There's complimentary water and bread which the service crew distributed to every passenger at the beginning. Blanket was placed right on your seat so as to protect you from getting cold because the A/C was strong somehow. There's a period of time for people to have some light entertainment such as listening to the music or watching a show, however, once they switched off the light, I guess it's an signal for every one to sleep so the TV facility itself also stopped service. Besides, in fact we reached quite earlier, it arrived before 6am which was 1 hour earlier than the scheduled 7am. The passenger sat next to me was friendly, notifying me to get off the bus. Overall, I felt it's okay for me.
★★★★★ Apr 28, 2017 (train #8 Class II AC, Thai Railways) :
I was surprised with the service on this train trip. We had morning tea followed by a great tasting 2 choice hot lunch then afternoon tea all prepared by our carriage attendant. The carriage was old but clean. Near to 11 hours. Quite a long trip. Glad it is over.
★★★★☆ Apr 27, 2017 (train #14 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
The train was not in the best condition, but I found it comfortable enough. The beds were put down as soon as we asked and staff were friendly. The temperature of the train goes up and down through the night - the aircon gets very cold once the train has been moving for a while, then heats up again if the train stops. Make sure to bring a jumper!
★★★★★ Apr 26, 2017 (train #10 Class II Ladies Only, Thai Railways) :
I was very pleased with the service offered by this site - I got the seat I requested in the women's cart and picked up the ticket from the hotel in Chiang Mai. The train journey itself was fine, although the 'restaurant' on the train was pretty underwhelming (so bring your own food!) and the bright lights stayed on all night.

Excellent service from 12go, tickets were there with a smile!
★★★★★ Apr 21, 2017 (train #10 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Tickets were ready for pickup at Bossotel just a few steps from Chiang Mai station, staff was very friendly and helpful. We rode 1st class sleeper to Bangkok and Thai Rail was very efficient, clean and helpful. Food provided in the dining car was tasty and very good value. Train left right on time and arrived Bangkok only a few minutes late. Some fellow passengers complained about cold air-con and noise, but I found bedding and blankets to be clean and warm and I slept like a baby. Thanks 12go Asia and Thai Rail! Highly recommended!
★★★☆☆ Apr 21, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
As a family of 3, I will book two bogeys ( 2 + 2 beds) Trip and sleep smoother than expected even I have shared the lower with my wife
★★★★☆ Apr 20, 2017 (bus VIP, Bangkok Busline) :
They were very kind, you received snacks and water. We arrived 1.5 hours too early, which was a bit inconvenient for me. But very comfortable ride!
★★★★☆ Apr 19, 2017 (bus VIP24, Bangkok Busline) :
It's pretty good. A lot of food and drink. Arrival on time.
★★★★★ Apr 19, 2017 (bus VIP, Bangkok Busline) :
Great bus service.
★★★★★ Apr 19, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline) :
Comfy, spacious seats. Food included and good service. Only delayed because of Bangkok traffic which is inevaitable.

The new number 10 train is the most modern train I've used. The facilities are great. Booking it through 2Go.Asia was convenient. It would have been better if it had showers and the AC was too cold.

★★★★★ Apr 17, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline) :
Except for the poor cammand of English by the operators this was an amazing service. I think this is more comfortable than a sleeper train
★★★☆☆ Apr 17, 2017 (train #6 Class II AC, Thai Railways) :

★★★☆☆ Apr 17, 2017 (train #52 Class II Sleeper Fan, Thai Railways) :
It's what we expected; it was hot and noisy. We tried to book an aircon car but they were sold out. Some insects but nothing you can't manage. Staff was very friendly and accommodating.
★★★★★ Apr 16, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline)
★★★★☆ Apr 16, 2017 (train #14 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Old train but clean, comfortable and better food than modern Chinese versions. Toilets a bit outdated but go before you leave.
★★★★★ Apr 16, 2017 (train #14 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Yet again another smooth, easy and well organised journey. Thank you.
★★★★☆ Apr 16, 2017 (bus VIP24, Bangkok Busline) :
Everything is OK. But we difficult to find our bus in bus terminal Bangkok. Because of everything writing in Thai letter and not including the bus plate number in ticket.
★★★★★ Apr 16, 2017 (train #6 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
The train was great, really comfortable but the AC was hardcore freezing
★★★★☆ Apr 15, 2017 (bus VIP, Bangkok Busline) :

★★★★★ Apr 15, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline)
★★★★★ Apr 15, 2017 (train #10 Class II Sleeper AC, Thai Railways) :
Very accommodating and friendly staff
★★★★☆ Apr 15, 2017 (bus VIP24, Bangkok Busline) :
The bus was very comfortable. However, certain facilities didn't work properly: T.V, light etc. There wasn't really any point to put a T.V since it didn't function properly. And instead I wanted to read, however I wasn't able to turn on the personal light. In any case, I got a good night's sleep, which was most important considering an 11-hour bus ride from Chiang Mai to Bangkok. Thanks.
★★★☆☆ Apr 15, 2017 (bus Express, Bangkok Busline) :
Bus trip was better than some. My seat mates seat was broken so he couldn't recline fully. Fairly comfortable but lights are on frequently for stops and the bus rattles quite a bit (bring earplugs!). Lots of snacks provided.

Well organized and very clean. But also very cold (22°) and strong lights all night.

The Toilet is SO dirty :(

Easy purchase online and pickup of the tickets at the hotel was a snap before boarding. Train was nice although if it is your first time on an overnight train, don't forget the earplugs and mask!

Left on time , bus is comfortable and clean. Stopped off during the trip to get a hot meal included in the ticket price. Little to no English spoken but was a pleasant journey.

Warmer than the trip (carriage) to Chiang Mai & I was better prepared for the light. Toilets and carriage spotless. You are given one small bottle of water by the train staff. Very slow arrival in Bangkok (last 50km) caught up with an earlier train which my 2 companions had taken (1hr earlier departure). Still worthwhile vs plane. You really lose no time from your holiday with a night train.

Comfortable enough with AC, but there were lots of Mosquitos and also baby roaches crawling on the floor so that was no good.

12go asia very professional, tickets were ready as agreed, pickup was smooth, I can fully recommend. The train nr. 10 had 2 problems : 1/ the airco was very very cold, we asked the steward to switch it off but he couldnt help (the switching was broken) 2/ in the middle of the way, the railway is not very good. On the previous trip, the train went very slowly, so it was no issue. This time, the crazy man pilotting the train went through this are at the speed of 100+ (which I could see on the monitor), which made it completely impossible to sleep on the upper bad, the noise and shaking was so enormous and I was just waiting when the train will finally go off the railway.
★★★★★ Apr 5, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Very pleasant way of travelling, First which is slightly more expensive but very cheap by UK standards offers separate twin bunk cabins with spacious and comfortable bunks. Given the overnight travel saving time spent at airports this would definitely be my preferred way of distance travelling in Thailand. Did the same thing from Bangkok to Koh Samui which was an equally pleasant experience
★★★★☆ Apr 5, 2017 (train #10 Class II Ladies Only, Thai Railways) :
Ticket pick up was close and easy in Chiang Mai. Seats were nice and comfortable enough for the journey. Staff was courteous was professional. Clean bathrooms and clean train. Only negative was the bright overhead light that was never turned off or dimmed. Made for some not ideal sleeping conditions.
★★★☆☆ Apr 5, 2017 (train #14 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
Very comfortable, arrived well rested. Better to bring own food rather than purchase on train
