Chiang Khong to Chiang Mai Destination Reviews

AU
The bus driver and assistant did not attempt to communicate with us (English speakers) as to how long the stops would be. The bus actually started to pull out without me. We were only 2 non Asians on the bus and I have blond hair. It would not have been hard to determine I wasn't here.

Ok bus ride. Well organized by stewardess. Bus showing it's age. Comfortable seat in first section but if your pushing 6' ya gotta crouch down in seat to make headrest work for ya.

We could have done with a bit more than 5min stop to get lunch. Very comfortable seats and a great ride. The bus driver was very good and we felt safe in the rain. Remember to take a jumper as the airconditing can get a bit cold.

On time pick up, a little late on arrival but due to a ton of road construction. One of the most comfortable busses I have ever been on.

Well the VIP bus and seats and the second class seats are one the same bus. Kind of like a plane with business class and economy. Only thing is except for bigger seats we got no service . We 200 VB each extra for privilege of sitting on a bigger seat. Our snack was a small bottle of water and a smaller Twinkie cake roll.. We had no internet, USB connection, music, food, tv...nada. No stop to grab something to eat. The ticket said we needed to be at the station one hour before. We arrived dutifully at 8:45. Seems we were the only ones to witty about missing our VIP bus. Most arrived closer to departure.. Second tier seats were being bought close to departure. Do yourself a favour...buy you own water and Twinkie roll and save 200 VB
