At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that though we are closely monitoring services, we are still an agency marketplace - meaning we focus on ticketing service and route availability / coverage rather than on factual seat recline angle you got today ^_^

The 12go office staff were extremely kind and helpful. They answered every question with ease with confidence and handed us our physical train tickets directly. And when I didn't print my itinerary for the ferry transfer portion of my trip to Koh Samui, they did not hesitate to print it for me. Thank you 12go office team!!! As for the 12 hour train from Hua Lamphong to Suratthani station, my sister and I were heavily pleased by the convenience of almost everything! Even though we got the 2nd class sleeper, things were smooth, clean, and organized. When it was getting late, the staff members helped change our seats into beds. Once we had that, both the upper and lower beds had curtains! There were also two small sinks and toilets at the back of the car for passengers. And beside our beds there were four electrical outlets of which we could use to charge our phones! The trains were clean, comfortable, and extremely convenient. As you can tell I had a very positive experience with 12go and will use them again on my next trip. Thank you for the excellent service!

A relaxing and funny journey, I could even stretch my limbs on the bed (I am 182 cm), which I didn't expect! But: the air conditioning was set so cold that I had to put on my whole clothes on me! Thanks God, I didn't catch a cold that night, but I was damn near... Be prepared for that if you chose a conditioned wagon! And when I asked the attendant, if it was possible to reduce the AC intensity, he just gave me an extra blanket. Nice of him, though.

★★★★☆ Jan 7, 2018 (train #85 VIP Sleeper, Thai Railways) :
My partner and myself booked first class tickets on the overnight train from Hua Lamphong to Surratthani and it was a pleasant ride. We managed to get some sleep and it nice to have our own private cabin on the train. To some people first class should include many things and I expect many to complain about first inclusions but my partner and myself were happy with everything. It's all about adaptation and gratitude instead of always looking for unnecessary luxuries. There is really only one issue and that would be the toilet. A lot of westerners over-exaggerated the toilets uncleanliness but it wasn't that bad at all. Sure it was smelly but it still worked and was somewhat clean and if it really smelt that bad just hold your breath and bring antiseptic hand wash and you'll be fine. Overall a pleasant ride and would do it again.

Old train. Light switch broken. Not possible to regulate the A/C. The train was delayed for over one hour, what made us lose the ferry we had next.

We booked two first class overnight tickets. Train is quite old and rickety. We were supposed to be on an express train but it must have stopped ten times before actually leaving the city. We were told a meal would be included, but were charged when we ordered. BTW Hua Lamphing station is filthy!!

Dinner food good (much better than anything found on a plane or train in U.S.). Everyone was quiet during sleeping hours - no loud or obnoxious partiers into the night.???? Downside - my reading light not working in upper berth & almost no storage space to accommodate luggage. ???? Pack lightly!

The flight to Suratthani Airport, bus transfer to the pier, and the boat trip to Koh Samui were all fine with no problems with our booking for myself and three teenage children. However the transfer from the dock in Koh Samui to our accommodation was not so good. The driver did not know the address of our accommodation, even though I had sent the address details to 12Go a couple of days beforehand and received a confirmation email that the details would be sent through to the operator. I did not have the address on hand and no wi-fi to check it on my phone or laptop, however I'm sure the driver would have been able to do this. We were dropped off on the main road with vague directions on where to go which were completely wrong. We asked for directions from a local and started walking, with our 6 suitcases, however those directions were incorrect. Eventually we found a hotel who rang our acccommodation proprietor who came to pick us up. Please pass on these comments to the transfer operator, that even if our accommodation was not a main hotel, they still should have been able to find it.

The same as most. Train is OK. Toilet better than you would think, staff very good. I bought food on the train as I feel it is important to support the restaurant car or loose it. Loads of food, dinner for 2 plus loads of drinks 600 baht. If you arrive early and are too exhausted to explore the area, if you are first class, then there is a V I P room for you to lie in (with sofa tv and aircon). Just by the platforms. 12go asia are 5 stars. The booking is good and all instructions are clear. Picking up the tickets easy but crossing the road scary so get dropped off at the station and let the main booking person cross the roads without luggage.

Dear, We have been travelling for many years in Thailand and very often by sleeper train. We have always liked the trips. Today’s trip was really not nice at all so we wanted to inform you of the events. We left Bangkok yesterday at 19:30 to Surat Thani in car 12, seats 4,5,6. We are travelling with two kids of 1and3 year and had to wait until 21:30 before the beds were made. We had to show our tickets 3 times and ask more then 5 times before the person wanted to prepare beds. Many people were still waiting for their beds to be made and started sleeping without sheets. During the night I had for the first time ever, cockroaches in bed! It seems they left the doors to the bathroom area open during the night so there were several cockroaches in the sleeping area. In the morning, 50km before Surat Thani, the mister insisted to start preparing the bed where our son was sleeping. Our boy was exhausted as he only went to bed at 22:00. We were really very shocked by this mister his way of working. He wanted to take a selfie with my daughter of 1 year (who is blond) and took her into the sleeping compartment without asking me. I was luckily looking and took her away. Very unfriendly man and we are very sad about this trip. We hope something will be done so that this will not happen to other visitors. Kind regards,
