We were going on a 3 hr journey to Kanchanaburi, so I purchased the most expensive fare with the best looking pics of seats, etc. I wanted us to have AC and a comfortable trip. We arrived at the location provided 30 minutes prior to departure, which was 8:00am. The door was locked and a sign said open at 10. We were quite confused. Our driver said buses cannot pick us up at this location, so we piled back in the cab, turned around, then saw someone open the door to the office for other customers. We got back out of the cab. The lady checked off our names and we waited. Around 8:30, she piled us all into a beat down minibus and drove to a second location, a sort of bus depot. We were traveling to Kanchanaburi and were directed to a second even more beat down minibus. The bus was dirty and smelled. The driver couldn't start it and so 4 workers had to push it to jump the clutch. Then as we were leaving someone packed 2 boxes of baby chicks in the seats behind my children and sent us on our chirpy way. 3 hour ride. Turns out NO air-conditioning in this stinky, dirty can. This is not what I booked on 12go! I purchased the most expensive fare, with pictures of a beautiful leather seat and foot rest. Those ladies at Tara Travel totally misguided us. And trying to communicate was a nightmare. You never knew what was happening and questions are pretty much all met with the name of your destination. My advice, refuse to get in ANY crappy vans! I have complained with 12go, let's see if they fix this by refunding what I overpaid! What I received was clearly the cheapest fare, no AC, filthy bus. 2 stars because the driver did get us there safely only 30 minutes late.
