Thailand’s transport-minister oversaw the official signing of contracts to build the country’s first hi-speed rail line on Tuesday. Akhom Termphittayapaisit was in Beijing to witness the exchange of contracts which will see China provide the technical knowhow to build the system.
A Thai government committee has torpedoed a proposal for Bangkok’s passenger vans to be relocated back to Victory Monument. The secretary to the van operators’ association had submitted a petition to the committee which explained that the original move from Victory Monument had led to drastically reduced passenger numbers.
Video clips of rare Indochinese tiger cubs roaming through a Thai national park were released earlier this week. Freeland anti-wildlife trafficking organisation spokesperson Josie Raine said the video clips showed a total of six cubs in Khao Yai National Park.
