Phuket pulls plug on snake show with biting python

Local authorities on Phuket have shut down a snake show centre at which a tourist was attacked by a python. Chalong Council has ordered the owners of the Soi Palai centre to close until they get the requisite licences to operate snake shows.

Trying to kiss a python gets Chinese tourist bitten

A Chinese woman who tried to kiss a python at a Phuket snake show on Saturday was bitten by the creature. Witnesses say Jin Jing, 29, was in the front row of the audience at the Soi Palai snake centre when two handlers offered her the chance of pecking the python.
