I got on a first mini bus that took me to another bus station, where I waited around 30 minutes for another mini bus to start. I don’t recommend if you are in a hurry. As I was aware this could happen, it did not bother me. We got there in the end !

It’s important to know that Don Mueang station moved 400m south of what you see on Google maps. Once you’re there, it’s easy to find your train and you’re instructed on where to go to enter the train based on your ticket. We found our seats easily and had enough space for our luggage, however we only had backpacks. The train sells drinks (though not sure about the ice) and food for cheap prices. Definitely recommend taking this very cheap option to take your trip north of Bangkok.

I’m We were there 25 min before departure and the bus was full. OK, our fall, we were 5 min late. The next bus was to leave 20 min later, but it departed 35 min later. The rest of the trip was fine.
