Passenger reviews out of total 572 passengers who traveled with us on this route.

At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.

It was ours best travel by bus ever. Very spacious, excellent seats, enterteiment system with good movies, we were feeling like in the best airlines, like Qatar Airways. Your personel is absolutly polite. And pickup from hotel, absolutly excellent journey. And at least we were in Yangon before time. So absolutly first class. Thank You.

19 hour train ride sounds daunting and horrible but it was actually really great. I’m from the US and never did anything like this. I surprisingly went to sleep easily and didn’t have any dizziness after waking up from my 8 hour sleep. Simple to understand, had great food (but somewhat pricey food for myanmar, about 7,000 kyat a plate). Would definitely recommend this route for the low price of $25 USD since it’s basically a plane ticket and hotel wrapped into one!

Excellent service - my tickets were delivered to my respective hotels in Mandalay and Bagan 1 day prior to departure, with an email notification to ask for them at the reception - so, even being an inexperienced traveller you feel you are taken good care of.

Tickets were delivered to the Hotel as bespoken during booking process and confirmation email was sent as well so the Support Service was 5star. The Sleeper train though wasnt really what we expected as it was nothing like the pictures they have online. The 4 sleeper cabin only had two beds (booked 3) and the other 2 beds were the seats which you could pull together to sleep. Allthough it was a private cabin, clean and with a private bathroom. Ride was quite bumpy but an experience which you should do ig you have the 18hours and have a look at the breathtaking landscapes. The food they supplied (You could pre order your Breakfast and Dinner) was really expensive, be careful.

Comfortable bus. Good pick up arrangements at Bagan. Drop off at Yangon could have been better as the ride is long from Aung Mingalar to downtown and standing with luggage is tough.

Surprised how this wasn’t the worst travel night of my life. Arrived early and was able to get sleep. I would make the pick up van more efficient, one loop in town only, if people aren’t there and ready, too bad. Also, i would explain the drop off a little more clearly. There are taxis on the side of the road that can take you to town.

The trip was great and super confortable. We used JJ Express on our way to and from Bagan. We noticed on our way back that their new buses are even more confortable than their older models and a better entertainment system. The snacks were tasty. The staff were always very kind and everything was very orderly. I would definitely consider traveling wit JJ Express in the future.

Seats were still wrapped in plastic, guess because it’s a new bus. Head rest was really uncomfortable. Luckily it was removable. Overall the ride was good.

Pick up service was ok aswell as JJ Express service, but the Stewardess said that we choudl take a taxi to the Airport from the first stop at 5.30, when the arraiving time was told 7.00. We end up waiting at the airport depature/arrival hall for several hours.

EXPENSIVE! Book a cheaper but just as good bus service via your hotel. Or if you want to go with JJ Express, book directly with them at their website. 12go is an agent and it charges two to three times more. 12go is also not responsive and uncontactable in times of crisis and emergencies.

First 2 hours you can hear loud Birman rap, air-co goes from 10 to 26. I must admit they are very resourcefull when it comes to overbooked buses. They put plastic chairs in the middle. For my standards was ok. Picked me up from the hotel on its way.

Communication was perfect, and ticket was delivered in guest house I stayed. A very long trip of 18 hours, arrived 1 hour later than scheduled, but a fantastic experience to see burmese way of life. As for all overnight trains in Asian countries, going to toilets at the begining of trip should be better. Shared cabin with 4 local people (only one stayed overnight), everyone were very kind and gave me some local delicious food bought in intermediate station. Windows (no window) are fully open (store can be close if we want), it is like sleeping under the stars. A must !

Very comvenient trip and well organised. Seats and service in the bus are great! Even including an entertainment sytem with games, films and music. It was not clear to is that we had a free pick-up at our hotel but the reception staff knew. Further it was unclear which stop we had to leave the bus. The staff in the bus hardly speak English. Communication can be improved about those issues as well the msg that we were booked on a later bus. Further I’ll recommend this busservice for this trip from Bagan to Yangon

train #62 Upper Class, Myanmar Railways
★★☆☆☆
We took the Bagan-Yangon train. There is a sleeping car available, although it is not listed on 12go.asia. You must book an upper-class seat, then email 12go.asia support to request a sleeping car if one is available and pay an extra charge. If enough people book the sleeper, it will be available, if not there will be no sleeper and you will get a refund and tickets for upper-class seats. The sleeper car we took was rather incredible, in some surprising and not always pleasant ways. It was really rather dirty, because the windows are open (because it is hot, you want them open), there is lots of dust (and leaves, bugs, etc) entering. I would avoid the journey if you have respiratory issues (or wear a dust mask). The sleeping car has two sections, and the door between can be opened so if you have more friends, they can be communication, or complete separation. Each half sleeps four people. There is one fixed upper bunk on each side, and below there are four chairs which convert into a hard, lumpy bed. It was not connected to the other cars, so there is no way to visit the restaurant car or walk down the isle. Only when the train is stopped at the station can you exit the car. At this time, the attendants will come to check on you and take your food orders (plate of food 4000mmk, beer 3500 mmk, water/tea/coffee 1000mmk). The train infrastructure is old, so it is an expectedly slow and bumpy journey. Before the journey began they announced an arrival at 11:30am instead of 9:30am; perhaps it should be considered that this is the new "scheduled" arrival time, since it is consistent with other's experiences.
