Ha An hotel 168 Tran Hung Dao to 57 Cua Dong Street Destination Reviews

The only stop along the way was not a service station but a run-down restaurant right at the edge of a small town.

We were ca 90 minutes late. The driver who brought us to the hotel didn’t speak a word English and was extremely unfriendly. He yelled at me because he stopped somewhere and told us to hop off. We didn‘t as we didn‘t know where we were. In the end it was the right place but we didn‘t know and he didn‘t tell us. Maybe we could have had a look at google maps, but it is still not a reason to yell at me. Never again!

Bus was not as described. No TV, no toilet, slow WiFi. No transport to hotel in Hanoi.

The pickup from the location was a bit confusing and hectic. You didnt really know what bus belongs to what company. Once on the road everything seemed fine. The sleeping seat was spacious and comfortable. While sleeping we suddenly woke up by a big bang. Glas from a shattered window was over my wife on the bed next to me. We aren’t sure what exactly happened whether the bus hit a streetpole when coming off the road a bit or if it hit another truck while passing. Accidents can happen though and we are glad my wife didnt get injured. Almost a miracle in my opinion since a big sharp piece of window glass ended up right next to my wife’s face. The bus kept driving for a minute before coming to a stop. During that stop we told the bus driver with the help of google translate that the window on the upper back right seat was shattered. They didnt seem to care. Since the bus was completely full and some laying even on the ground there was no other space for her to go so we shared the same bed/seat for the rest of the trip back to Ha Noi. After some time someone came to clean the glass of the seat and tried to tape the window from outside the bus in order to prevent further damage to the window i guess. On the rest of the drive we kept stoping for a little bit to apply more tape etc. Around half an hour before arriving at the drop off location we got asked to change to a van that will drop us off at the destination. The van was completely full though so my wife, i and a third passenger ended up having to stand inside the van. Overall we aren’t happy how things went but I think if the accident hadn’t had happened the overall experience would have been 4 stars instead of 2 with the pick up procedure being the only criticism.

Don't expect to be able to sleep on the sleeper bus. Overall, it was not the worst bus experience I've had, but not one I'd love to repeat, either. Cons: Very bright lights on most of the ride, lots of yelling on the bus, even with the vent closed, the a/c still comes out and is very cold so make sure to have some warmer layers as an option. Every stop they would fling open my curtain and poke me to wake me up. We left an hour after scheduled. Pros: it was very nice to have a van at the dropoff point that took me about a 5 minute walk from my accommodation instead of needing to also pay for a taxi at 4 in the morning. Also, there is a USB charging port in your pod (it made my cord and phone very hot and was a slow charge, but helpful nonetheless)

Took a bus from Ha Giang to Hanoi. It dropped is like 15 km out of the city, where we were shifted to a car which didn't have enough space for the luggage or the people. Reached one and a half hours later than advertised.

The driver needs to stop using the horn as much as he did. Especially when we got back to Hanoi. No value in the horn. Just stupid

At first I got tested that they would pick me up at the hostel. Whe I asked to conform they did not reply. Then just on beforehand thee said I neede to go tp the bus myself and that they could order a taxi for me. That was okay but then I had to pay for it myself, which was double the price of a Grab. Wheb I asked them about it they did not replay to my teksts. Very bad service. In the end I had contact with the manager and I got a full refund, that was good service.
