Routes Served by Glassflower
Bangkok–Pattaya
Glassflower services do not operate on a set schedule; instead you can hire these vehicles to depart at the time of your choosing. One of the most popular trips is between Bangkok and Pattaya, with passengers able to choose between departing from and arriving to almost any location address or hotel across Bangkok and Pattaya. Another very popular route is from Bangkok to/from the island of Koh Chang, and Bangkok to/from Siem Reap, Cambodia. These are just a few examples of the many routes offered by Glassflower. They also offer over 100 routes in the South of Thailand, in and around Phuket, Krabi, Khao Lak, Chumphon, Surrathani, Koh Lanta, Trang and other top destinations in the south.
Airport transfers
Those who are staying in Bangkok and need to head to Suvarnabhumi Airport can hire luxury vans to transfer them to the airport for THB 1,200, good value if you are travelling in a group as these luxury vans have capacity for nine passengers which would make the trip just THB130 per person!
Other destinations from Bangkok
From Bangkok you can travel with Glassflower all the way to Koh Chang. These transfers in a luxurious van are priced at THB 5,900 to and from Suvarnabhumi Airport or departing from Bangkok city center. Connections between Pattaya and Trat (from where you can travel by ferry to Koh Chang) are priced at THB 5,500. Of course, you can also travel to some of the other popular islands in the south of the country such as Koh Samui, Koh Phangan or Koh Tao. Glassflower offers services between Bangkok and Suratthani, from where you can catch a ferry across to Koh Samui, with the vehicle hire priced at THB 12,000. Similarly you can travel between Bangkok and Chumphon for THB 8,250 and then visit Koh Tao or Koh Phangan and also Koh Samui leaving from Matapon Pier. Glassflower also offers routes in the North of Thailand in the Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai and Pai regions, as well as Bangkok and Pattaya transfers to/from Siem Reap in Cambdodia, Vientiane in Laos and Yangon in Myanmar.
Slightly shorter trips from Bangkok are also common including transfers to Ayutthaya (THB 3,950), Nonthaburi (THB 1,400), Khao Yai National Park (THB 3,400), Maeklong Railway Market (THB 2,350),Cha-am (THB 3,500), Hua Hin (THB 3,750) and various other popular destinations. Glassflower also offers comfort sedan cars in addition to their VIP luxury vans and the prices for these cars are lower compared to the luxury vans.
Pros
The vehicles used by Glassflower on all routes are very high quality and likely to be safer than travelling with some private transport operators across the country where the drivers may not be as careful as you would like them to be. Also, travelling on these routes with Glassflower is likely to be more comfortable than using other bus operators where you will be cramped onto a coach bus or join-in minivan. Glassflower is a good option for those who just cannot face public transport!
The option of choosing airport transfers is also useful, especially as this means that you do not have to head into the center of Bangkok in order to catch further transport to your destination, if you are not planning on staying in Bangkok itself.
Cons
The biggest issue with travelling on Thailand’s crowded roads is the threat of delays which is ever present, especially when dealing with the hectic Bangkok traffic. Of course, this is also an issue with all bus operators so if you are on a tight schedule you may want to consider train travel instead.
Keep in mind
The vehicles that can be hired are VIP luxury vans which will have a capacity of nine passengers, in addition to their comfort sedan cars available with a capacity of 3 passengers. Glassflower can also offer 11 passenger luxury vans upon special request.
Travellers Reviews
The vehicles used are high quality and offer passengers a greater level of comfort than is the case with other transport operators across the country. However, the cost of hiring these luxury vans will price many travelers out, unless they are travelling in a larger group in which case this can be a good value option. Plus you will have the added bonus of not having to deal with public transport including the crowds at the bus station!
