The train was ok, but the time that we should have arrived in bangkok is not correct. We should have arrived at 9.35 but we arrived in bangkok at 12.30.

A real adventure. I would choose the train again, if I am not in a hurry. We had 2 1/2 hours delay. That was no problem for us, but would be, if we had a flight after the train.

Train and sleeping accommodation were fine, food service was good, but the train arrived 3.5 hours late. Otherwise, all good,

Leuke ervaring! Best lekkere bedjes, zeker als je het vergelijkt met de nachtbus. Het vliegtuig is misschien net iets comfortabeler, maar vaak ook duurder. Ik zou de trein aanraden!

This year we made 3 boat trips with Lomprayah and I must say I'm quite disappointed in them. Two years ago much better, now people at Lomprayah not friendly at all (not what you expect from Thai people), delays (okay, may happen), but most frustrating they don't care about your bags, throwing as must as possible, chaos when deboarding, especially with transfers. Okay, no better choice than Lomprayah, as the other ferry companies are not be mentioned anyway. 12GoAsia, please share with Lomprayah as I'm not the only one.... Sorry for mentioning with other trip, but Thai Railways trip to Bangkok was very good!

Trip was oke, but the coupe was very cold. The sheets were clean. The coupe was not so clean and very old. There was one toilet for more than 20 persons. It did not smell very fresh and was not clean.

It was a really good trip. We tot a sandwich and drinks and a free mee in a restaurant. The chairs are massage chairs and you can watch movies. You get a cushion and a blanket for the night. Lots of room for your legs.

Journey was alright, train was delayed (we heard that it's nearly always the case). Beds were kinda uncomfortable but clean, bathrooms were the worst we've seen in Thailand. We booked 2. Class AC and it was kinda noisy and hard to sleep. Keep in mind, that sellers will keep on waking you up in the morning to sell you something (overpriced- 100 baht for dissolvable coffee)

I was in the first line seat, with no place for my legs and no possibilities to change places. Was not really comfortable.

5 stars to 12Go as their service has been exemplary. 3 stars for the train company - cabin was clean and functional to a basic standard - if you have every travelled on a UK sleeper train (not the new Caledonian) then this is very similar. Bunks were comfy and stable. I had the top bunk and had room to sit up (unlike in 2nd class). There are two luggage racks to get your suitcases off the floor (helpful given the small floorspace). The train arrived about 40mins late which was fine for us as we had no pressing deadlines, but something to bear in mind if you have connecting travel arrangements. There was a power socket so we were able to charge our phones, two bottles of water and a sink with warm running water. The loos were a bit nicer than in the 2nd class carriage, but still squat-style, and were in less of a state by the end of the journey. Staff were polite and informative. A freelance tea/coffee seller came by in the morning so we managed a drink as well. Overall a much better experience than our previous 2nd class trip - it was quieter and I managed to get a reasonable amount of sleep. Definitely worth paying the extra to get 1st class.
