Express is the key word! The driver was driving like a lunatic, taking over everything and only just missing hitting other buses etc. It was very rainy outside and through the night, so you'd think he'd be a little bit more careful with less visibility and slippy roads. Though he was somehow 2 hours late. There was 2 stops on the journey, the first one you had to pay to use the toilets, which I thought was bad as I didn't have enough money! The bus it's self is very cramped, I was bitten by mosquitos and it was dirty, there was crisps all over my seat when I got on. This was a cheap journey, but I think it's worth paying more for a better bus experience if you can! Overall, bad experience!

Pontual and spoke very good English. All was perfect but unfortunately we suffer a car accident. A motorcycle smashed the bus front window and an ambulance had to be called for the motorcyclist. The support to get a new bus was smooth but the whole experience was a bit overwhelming.

Bus departed Hanoi half an hour later than booked and arrived in Sapa an hour and a half later than planned. One particularly lengthy stop in Lao Cai for mail unloading.

Bus was on time, everything went well. There are covers on the bus in case you find the AC too strong. We had two bathroom breaks, one 30 minutes (to eat) and another 10 to 15 minutes break. Just expect some locals to get on board sometimes and be quite loud talking with the driver.
