At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:
Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)
Make your choice! Please remember that though we are closely monitoring services, we are still an agency marketplace - meaning we focus on ticketing service and route availability / coverage rather than on factual seat recline angle you got today ^_^
WiFi no snack no Electronic power point no
So friendly, they dont leave you behind and help you with everything about the visa. Little breakfast, lunch with rice.
Very good. The staff was very pleasant and the journey was great.
The bus was great! Comfy, great wifi, excellent crew. I opted to do my own visa and a guy from the crew helped me with the whole process! Some of this might have been because there were only 4 passengers on the entire bus. The only negative is that it is very expensive compared to others buses. 12go.asia was convenient but wayyyy overcharges.
The bus was great, we actually didn't want to get off! It was so comfy and air conned. The help at the border was worth the money as we basically walked straight through and saw a lot of people looking very lost...
The guy came on the meeting point in Kao San Road on time, then we wait a bit to start the journey. Sits are quite confortable and they provide you a blanket. There are no stops but there is a toilet inside. We did the travel at the night. We left Bangkok at 1am and spent the night travelling, arriving at the border around 6am when the border opens. We had to pay 40$ for the visa even though the real cost is 30$, however it is quite convenient to use this option as it is easier, quick and you do not need to worry. We arrived in Siem Reap at 9am and a tuk tuk to the hotel was already arranged. Avoid to agree with this tuk tuk later trips (probably Angkor), do some research and negotiation around; our guy asked us for 70$ for 2 days and 3 people, at the end we paid 50$ using our hotel's tuk tuk
All good, meals provided and bus was on schedule. It was raining and the bus was leaking! Pity to those whos seating was affected
I was anticipating the worst, but our travel went by without incident. Everything went smoothly, the wifi was spotty in certain areas, which is understandable especially in the countryside. The seats were comfortable enough and me and my friends were able to sleep in relative comfort. Upon arriving in Siem Reap though, try to find other tuktuk drivers instead of the ones from the company offering free rides to hotels.
Good service! ????????
Excellent guide on the bus, very helpful and friendly. Everything went super smoothly and we arrived 1h early.
Ottimo servizio, puntuale alla partenza e all'arrivo, personale preparato e amichevole. Bus confortevole con ampio spazio per le gambe e sedili reclinabili quasi orizzontali. Decisamente raccomandabile
Hassel free boarder crossing. Will ride again????????
The trip was comfortable. The representatives strove to communicate expectations and take care of the passengers. This was the best trip made yet. I will definitely choose Giantibis again.
The trip was smooth and the conductor/assistant to the driver is very helpful and cheerful.
The man guiding the group was vey thoughtful and patient with me, I lost my debit card and had no money at the border. He helped me resolve this scary situation and I am very grateful for him. Also he had a beautiful singing voice :)
couldn't ask for better transport from Bangkok to Siem Reap! The drivers were extremely friendly and made sure that the journey go smooth - we got dinner and some snacks, as well as water (much needed). The process of getting through the Thai-Cambodian border was explained in detail and thanks to this it went quickly and without complications. Furthermore, we were provided a free tuk tuk which drove us to our hostel. Next day the company-employed driver drove us around the temple complex and took us to a delicious traditional dinner in a locals-only place. All for 45 usd! He also booked us a bus ticket to our next destination. 5/5 and would without doubt recommend the company.
El bus comodisimo. El trato perfecto. Van un poco rápido conduciendo pero no hay peligro.
Considering the actual visa cost of 20usd, I find a bit excessive the price of 1400bath that the bus leader requested for handling the visa process...
Staff were very helpful in assisting everyone on the bus with their visa and border crossing. Good snacks and lunch was also provided.
Being Asian, we are allowed to stay in Cambodia for 30 days and even though i've read bad reviews about this company especially on the border crossing, i still push through because we are on a very tight schedule. Now, Let me share why I give such bad rate for this company. We were given a bottled water and a blanket (which looks like it haven't washed for a long time). The driver stopped for about an hour to rest, I guess? The worst thing happened in the border where this guy stepped in the bus and asked for our passports... After he "examined" the passports, he called me and then told me that it is less problem because I'm also asian. He then asked me to pay him 800 baht ( we are 4, 200 baht each ). I was shocked but i know this is where the "scamming" happens. At first, i tried to be calm and asked him why do we need to pay for it.. He said to skip queuing on getting stamp. I said i don't mind to queue but then he raised his voice and said, they won't wait for us. I said I've read reviews like this and then asked him, "is this a scam?" he got mad and then asked me to get our bags.*obviously guilty* In the end, we don't want any hassle and we know its still a 3hr ride from the border to Siem Reap so i just pay for it. After giving the money, I never saw his face. All the staff in the bus never looked at me anymore because they knew about the scamming. The thing is, although you know their sh*t, you cannot do anything about it. If anyone of you are reading this, NEVER choose this company.
Very comfortable and pretty good service. Unfortunately there were a few cockroaches on board...
The flight had an hour delay, but the crew managed to get everybody on board quickly so the plane could take off. Flight was quick and pleasant! Well done!
Nice bus, snacks, food and drink was included. Everything was good! :)
Excellent trip, helpful staff. We took the "express border treatment" for 200BT extra. It was probably not strictly necessary, but very convenient. The guidance through the queues was pleasant. Seats are not long enough (neck room) for tall people, leg room is very good ;-)
Bus trip was good and got provided food and drinks. They tried the visa scam but we had read up and was very easy to sort it all out at the boarder. As soon as we crossed the boarder into Cambodia the drivers style of driving completely changed and was going through 60 kph areas at over 100 kph over taking everyone into oncoming traffic. Took them quite a while to realise there was water all over the floor from the toilet but I think it was fresh water as there was no smell. When we got dropped off I asked for the WiFi so I could contact our hostel as they had a free pickup service (had read about the free service they supplied) but they turned off the router so the WiFi dropped out within 2 min's of giving it to me.
Great trip! Having read numerous reports of trouble and corruption at the boarder crossing I was pleasantly surprised at the ease and smoothness of this trip. The company offered a crossing service and to complete all the paperwork for you. I think the visa costs about 30-35 usd but the company charged 40 usd. Not that bad really. Some passengers opted to do everything themselves and save a few bucks. I don't see a problem either way. At the end of the day paying a few bucks extra for a hassle free crossing is fine. I found everyone onboard friendly and helpful. The only negative comment is the company rep did say that if you cross without paying the fee and you get delayed the bus would leave without you! It is my understanding that this cannot happen. The company is obligated to wait. Also, my friend crossed on her own and she was delayed due to long lines. The company rep went out of his way to get her through ! Very happy. All in all I would recommend this company. One last comment, I lost my photo for the Cambodia visa and the company said 100 Thb would fix the problem. I paid, problem solved. :-)
Great service. Efficient through the border. Arrived early in Siem Reap.
Overall very good experience. Comfortable bus. Good air con and wifi. Helpful staff. On time. Regarding border crossing, if you keep your wits about you, you will have no problem at all! The only downside was water dripping on my friend, but we were able to move so it really was no drama. Would happily do this again instead of flying.
Staff not very friendly. Bus drove way too fast and they didn't allow us to do the visa on our own, which would be 10$ cheaper. We got way better service (also food) with the same price with other bus companies!
Excellent trip - superb host on the bus, ensured everybody knew the situation and what would be happening every step of the way. Nice smooth border crossing, recommended.
Really helpful staff, kept us from getting scammed at the border. Loads of leg room and reclining chairs, very comfortable journey! Nice to be provided with food and wifi worked if a little slow (as you'd expect with that many people using it). Would thoroughly recommend, worth every penny for a safe, comfortable and hassle free journey.
Good bus, nice staff. Only one problem - staff recommended to us to make visa for 40 dollars. And they were angry when we say no. But it was fast and easy to make visa ourselves for 30$.
Best bus company I've travelled with so far in south east Asia. They gave us drinks, snacks and food on the bus and best of all each seat has its own charger to charge phones or other small devices. Perfect for long bus rides.
Great ride. Easy border for 40$. You can do it yourself cheaper too, if you want to. I did not. Some food and drink. All in all a good deal for the money. No complaints. I recommend it
Pleasant journey, comfortable bus and very helpful staff. Having done a fair few SE Asian land border crossings I would absolutely recommend this company for a smooth and hassle free journey . And anyone who says its a scam that the staff charge you 40usd for a visa when it should cost less, please get real. For you small amount of extra money you get to sit on a coach and eat lunch whilst the bus guy endures the tedium of queuing and obtaining your visa and getting your passport stamped. Do you expect them to provide this service to you for free? If you really don't want to pay then just get an evisa beforehand- which costs a whole 4 dollars less, at 36usd.
Todo muy bien, y muy puntual, incluso ayudaron a algunas personas en na frontera a hacer la visa sin ningún costo!!
Comfortable bus with toilet. Breakfast, drinks and lunch was included so they really look after you well. Co-driver gave us tips how to not get ripped off in immigration which is helpful for those who missed their research. Only 4 stars because driver and co-driver were talking sooooo LOUD for hours on end! 9 hours to be exact it was non-stop I never had a chance to sleep because of this. However I understand that it could be to keep the driver alert throughout the journey. When we got to Siem Reap we were swarmed by tuktuks offering "free" service. Do not buy it unless you want to buy a tour package with them. I recommend taking this journey from Bangkok to Siem Reap however do research in advance to avoid the scams (eg Cambodia immigration officers) Tip: get an online e-visa before your journey. Will save a lot of hassle
Pleasant drive with a lot of leg room, unfortunetaly the workers on the Bus will try to scam you by telling you that the visa is 40$ instead of only 30$ and they will take care of it. Not sure if I would go again with this company as it is quite expensive compared to others.
This is the best way to travel between Bangkok and Siem Reap. You do have to go all the way to Mo Chit terminal but the bus almost leaves on time and arrives promptly before 6pm. Bus fare does include a tuk tuk to your hotel/hostel for free. But you will have to put up with the TT driver trying to sell you the Angkor Wat trip for the following day????
It was the most comfortable bus ride I've ever had. Staff is super friendly and they help you with your visa. You even get a little snack and coffee for breakfast plus lunch.
It was great experience. They provided snacks along the way and drinks too. Plus it has toilet which was an awesome addition
The service was great. We had breakfast and lunch on the bus. The visa process took about 1 hour and after that we continued on the same bus.
Very good journey. The host was great, very helpful especially with the visas. The food was nice and the bus was spacious.
The bus wasn't old dirty. The driver was fine, not chatty and didn't speak much English. At the border the driver invited a guy on who told us that it was $40 for him to do the visa and it was the same everywhere and at the border. But we went on and got it for $30+100 Thai Bat which was a lot cheaper! He was just trying to rip us off. Then once arriving in Seim Reap, the manager of the bus company went on about how they provided free tuk this but fail to mention that if you don't book an expensive activity with them that they charge you $3 despite our accommodation being just down the road. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
Bus was actually fine. Aircon was good but wifi didn't work. Given water, a cake and wipes on bus. Driver did stop for an hour for no reason only a few metres from border. A man came onboard the bus and took passports from people which was unnerving and sorted out cards and visas. Think people were overcharged but we had an e-visa so we took our passports back straight away and didn't hand them over again. Not sure when they got their passports back either. The whole crossing the border took at least 2.5 hours. We then arrived to siem reap almost 2 hours later than stated at a different bus location than expected. On arrival we were swarmed by Tuk tuk drivers offering a free lift - most likely another scam. Overall the trip wasn't as bad as I had expected after I read other reviews. Bags were untouched and the bus was safe despite being parked on the side of the road for an hour. Passport issue was unsettling and nerve wracking so be aware.
Great service at all points of the trip, I was very positively impressed! Thank you!
We had a very comfortable ride. Driver and assistant is very friendly and nice
Absolutely pleasant experience! The guide/operator was extremely helpful and made everything so easy at the border. I expected difficulties but did not experience any, the whole trip was smooth. Thank you Giant Ibis.
Travelmart are scam artists. Friendly staff and comfortable bus from Bangkok to Siem Reap. However the wifi did not work. And the staff are clearly in cahoots with their fellow countrymen in trying to scam western tourists. They strongly encouraged all the passengers on my bus to spend 40 USD - 10 more than the actual visa price of 30 USD - for the company to collect your visa-on-arrival for you, and told you to do this due to the immigration police charging 200 baht each for their service, to "help their family," so the price is supposedly "around the same anyway." This 200 baht is a well known scam from the police - which the Travelmart staff are clearly aware of. I refused to pay it and after some stalling they issued my visa. Those of us who chose not to pay Travelmart the extra and sort stuff at the border ourselves were told we were not entitled to any help when we asked for basic directions to the right place to collect our visas - horrendous customer service! The cherry on the cake was upon arriving in Siem Reap the staff made a point of emphasising their providing free tuktuks to get us to our accommodation. When I got to my hostel the driver tried to coax me into hiring him for an Angkor Wat tour. When I told him no thanks and I was renting a bicycle, he told me pointedly if I wasn't going to give him a job, I should pay for the ride I just had, and became rude and angry when I said no. Terrible company
This is my first time to travel from bangkok to siem reap by land. They assisted us althroughout and made everything very easy. The bus is comfortable and the staff was very nice. Only the food needs to improve and the direction to the meeting point in khao san, it was difficult to find the place and not even in thr google map. The hotline no. In the voucher also need to chnge its no longer working, i thought i was scammed when i couldnt find the plce and reach the hotline. Thanks giant ibis will recommend this journey as an alternative for flights
Went well. The driver and co driver was super helpful and equip information on the border. Super like!
Very good personal they helpt us with crossing the border But one minor issue is the pick up point was difficult to find when you show your ticket to a taxi driver he has no idee where to drive to but the rest went good and smoorh
Couldn't be better. Extremely comfortable bus, great food and flawless border crossing, with everything taken care of for us.
No problems at all. Good staff, good food. Wifi doesn't work in Thailand but who cares
Good transportation, on time, friendly. They tried to sell us visas for 1400 Baht, but when I asked about the price, they didn't push me to pay or anything. Just decline any offers on the bus and get the visa when walking through the border ;) You're dropped off somewhere outside of Siem Reap, where you can purchase a SIM card if you wish. They have tuk tuk drivers available "for free", but when you don't arrange an Angkor Tour for the following day with your driver, he will probably ask for approx. 2 dollars (which seems fair).
Filipinos should not pay upon entering the border but an agent asks us to pay 200baht for the reason that he will be the one to pay our stamp and arrival card. and if not, he threatened us to get our luggage. no receipts were given...
Clear rules, good price and services.
Fast and comfortable with plenty of drinks and snacks during the trip. Good service at the border where the on board staff sorted out the Visa On Arrival for entry into Cambodia. Would have been 5 stars if they had only overcharged us $5 for the visa rather than $10 ($40 when the actual price is $30) but even then an evisa in advance would have had a $7 admin charge and, as 1st timers across this border, it was good not to have the hassle. Also the bus terminus is quite a way out of Siem Reap centre so arrange to be picked up by your hotel in advance.
The trip was fine save for some tiny details: we left half an hour late, no breakfast was served (not even the juice and the sponge cake I read about in previous reviews), the bus stopped a couple times in the middle of nowhere which didn't feel quite safe at the moment, A/C though present isn't always enough. On the bright side: we arrived on time in Siem Reap despite the delay, my lunch was really tasty (my bf's not so much), it was an easy trip even though you spend 6 hours on the bus and 2-2.5 hrs at the border. The Thailand-Cambodia border is a mess: little to no indications and signs where to follow next, a lot of time without A/C and 100 baht extortion on Cambodia side for the visa although we had our photos with us. Even so we were back on the bus in a little more than an hour among the first passengers - stamped out and with a re-entry permit received on Thailand side, with Cambodian visa and stamped in at Cambodian border. Requiring a re-entry permit to Thailand actually helped to reduce the time because the line at that booth is shorter than the general lines. Following the little instructions/indications you get and using your common sense is enough to get you through the whole process alright.
Mucho mejor que lo que esperábamos. Buen servicio. Muy amables todos. El bus super cómodo. Muy recomendable.
Comfortable. Sufficient legs room, snack n food served on-board are nice.
Very nice driver and assistant too.
Very comfortable seating and even for tall people there's no problem. However, WiFi didn't work and we had to pay $40 for a visa which one of the employees got for us. A lot of us were confused and annoyed as we didn't understand the reason why we had to pay $10 more than expected.
Na to všetko čo som počul o ceste z Bangkoku do Siem reap to bolo super. Kopec miesta v autobuse. Steward nás na všetko pripravil. Dostali sme raňajky aj obed a aj kávu. Na ceste zo stanice v Siem reap nám zabezpečili Tuk Tuk. Vrelo odporúčam.
I booked this trip very last minute. I am a first timer crossing the border of Thailand and Cambodia and this is my first time being a solo traveler outside my country. The steward is very accommodating during our trip on April 12 at 7:45 am. He assisted us vey well. Escorted us in Thai immigration until Cambodian immigration. The free snack and lunch were very nice and we arrived an hour before the estimated arrival time. It was smooth. Giant Ibis Bangkok to Siem Reap has excellent service.
The trip was good and staff were helpful and friendly. Visa and immigration clearance were smooth, but the wifi was slow. I strongly recommend giant ibis.
As good as it gets!
Bus was new and only 3 people including myself! Airconditioned, free wifi and charging point for phone. No hassles with border crossing - chap on bus was very helpful even if you didn't use his offer of visa service which by the way was good value!
El personal muy agradable y solidario! Te resuelven todo el tema del visado y la comida a bordo es rica!
Good service and friendly staff
