No wifi even though that was said to be included. No free refreshments despite being first class. The cold water dispenser was only dispensing boiling hot water and when I went to the refreshment carriage and asked to fill my water bottle there I was told no by a very unfriendly train conductor.

Travelling Vietnam Rail is not a luxury experience, but no complaints - you get what you pay for. They should change the bed linen after each passenger though.

The sleeper was ok, very noisy . We also booked our bikes on, Hue was ok but getting them back at Hanoi was a joke, took over 4 hours and we ended up getting them out of a goods careage onto the tracks ourselves!!!

We are a family of 5 and we bought 5 beds but squeezed into one cabin. The cabin and bedding were clean. Our cabin was an end one and I wonder if this made the ride less smooth? It was very rattly and noisy and I felt motion sick when not lying down.
It was an adequate way to travel a long distance but I wouldn't be in a hurry to do again!

Very quick check in on the airport, flight was about 10minutes faster, landing was a bit rushed, but overall great choice od travel

Beds were nit comfortable and was noisy at times. Bathroom was horrible. Efficient way of travelling however.

Pretty good. Toilets were clean. Refreshments could have come round a second or third time. Table could have done with a clean prior to our arrival. Other than that, punctual, clear instructions at station.

That was our worst trip by Nighttrain. The first 2 ours there were 5 people in our 4 people room.
And after leaving of two people the train officer opend and closed the door a few times verry loud. we weren’t able to sleep.

Took a 6-berth sleeper for family of five. Booking was very easy. Our compartment was quite comfy and had enough space for us all plus luggage. Also, there's hot water available if you want to make instant noodles.

Much better journey on the sleeper train than some other reviews had suggested. However being on the top bunk next to the Aircon unit we were regularly bombarded with smoke coming through. Not ideal for anyone especially non smokers. Need stricter rules on where people can smoke maybe or have non smoking cabins to select.

Make sure you take the Livitrans Express, newer cars. Train was was clean, but showing its 4 years of age. We where 1 hour late arriving 30 minutes late departing. They have 220 outlets and even USB chargers point over each bunk. We took the 1st Class 4 bunks to a cabin. You want to choose the lower bunks!!! Chance to meet Vietnamese and see the country side. Would recommend taking at least one trip. If your a heavy sleeper then the way to travel. They have a food cart to comes around so can buy fried chicken, spring rolls etc. Overall a good experience..

3 adults and 2 children we travelled over night from Hue to Hanoi in SE18 first class (carriage 6A). It goes as good as can be expected. This time we were the only people in the carriage though, maybe for that reason the AC was not kept on the whole time and if felt hot and humid half of the journey. Cleanness and quality for this particular trip were good but bring your own soap and toilet paper (even if you are booked in the 1st class!)

SE20 unrefurbished. Train ride was good and punctual. Cabin had power points centrally located at both sides. Bed was shorter than on the refurbished SE4 carriages which made it uncomfortable and the sheets would come off the mattress. Toilets were very small or dirty. No proper dining cart and only one warking hot water tank over 4 carriages. If possible use trains SE1 to 4 as they use the modern carriages.

The booking was good and seats were great. At arrival we noticed that our bags with the flightbag and content were covered with fishjuice. We had to bring it all to the laundry service. Our bags are ruined. The bad smell is dominating and we have still one week traveling to go. We would like to have a compensation for all this trouble and ruined stuff. Bed bugs! I could tolerate them but my partner was crazy itchy. Bring your own snacks and toilet paper as options and English are very limited! I slept well but I’m 1.54m so I was super comfy.

Booking was easy, confirmation from kiwi.com was quick. Flight left on time and only took 1 hour! Can’t complain. 20kg baggage is included in ticket price ????????.

Train SE2 or the track made it quite a bumpy ride. Part of travel in Asia. Still good and timely way to go.

Booking/payment process good, although we were put into a cabin with a couple with a small child when there were free cabins available.
Train is not the cleanest, stained sheets and marks on the cabin walls, the aircon is freezing (especially on upper bunks) and the toilets are pretty foul.
