Not a good experience in general. Nuoc Ngam Station in Hanoi is hot, no air conditioning at passengers waiting room. Hoang Long staff and counter do not show a friendly face when we approached him, do not provide good information to us. The bus driver that night are rude, not only to customers, also the way he drive, every 5 seconds he will sound the horn, we can't sleep well. He were angry when other passangers requested for an emergency stop for toilet. He and his assistant smoke in the bus, it was really uncomfortable for this as I expecting an aircon coach without smoking. The assistant character slightly better. The meal provided are really simple, low quality. Overall the service acceptable but their staff are bad. The trip were delay for about 30 minutes. The luggage compartment were used by the drivers for the extra private earning services... So ours have to keep inside the bus... This is odd.

We booked a trip including WiFi, but there was no wifi. The seats were not as good as the picture. And there was an distinctive smell.

Overall it was an good experience. If I knew how uncomfortable the 6 berth bed were I would of booked the 1st class one. But that’s just my own mistake. The aircon in the train was freezing . We had to move to the seating area cause it got too cold!

Great journey. Good check in at the hotel. Cabin was clean and stocked with snacks and drinks which was nice. The only negative was that the ‘soft’ bunks were actually harder than expected. We would travel this way again.

Having the knowledge I do now, I would fly!
We travelled in the first class cabin (I would hate to see what any other class of cabin would be like), we had roaches and lots of other people on the train with little consideration for other passengers: smoking; partying; coughing; sneezing; farting.
Don’t think of this as an adventure, think of this as 15 hours looked in a small cabin with what could be your worst nightmare!
That being said, the journey from Hue to Da Nang was beautiful. That bit I would recommend.

We went from Hanoi to DaNang by nighttrain. A family of 5 mom, dad and three daugthers.
The madras was a little hard but we slept Well most of the night.

Train was decent. Room was clean. Toilets were typical train toilets, so not the nicest, but bearable for one night. Soft mattress is still rather hard, so not for you if you like to sleep really soft. Train makes noise too buy nothing that kept me from sleeping after a long day of exploring Hanoi.

When we arrived in the airport we were 2.30 hours earlier than the departure time.
We had to check in our baggages so we started the eternal queue which lasted about 2 hours so we arrived at the gate just 30 minutes before leaving. The flight then was 45 minutes late. When we arrived in Da nang one of our baggages...has been lost!!! Not such a good experience...

Very easy and convenient process to exchange 12goAsia e-ticket for boarding pass at check in. Comfortable flight with Vietjet airlines, I will fly with them again. I will continue to book all my travel requirements through 12goAsia who are always so professional. Minor 30 min delayed take off, otherwise a 5* rating would have been given. Kind regards, Mark.

A great experience although the mattress could've been a little softer. I would certainly recommend paying a bit extra for the deluxe cabins just for the better toilet facilities, when you're on a train for 15 hours it makes all the difference.

It was exactly how I pictured it. A cheap way to travel far and see some awesome sights while being able to lay back and relax. I stayed second class sleeper with 6 beds for 16+ hours. Luckily I was on the bottom bunk though. The beds were firm but no more so than any other bed in Asia asI had no troubles sleeping. The swaying of the train car, I think, helped put me to sleep. The sleeper car was clean and the bathrooms are what I figured they would be, so no surprises there. All in all I enjoyed the experience, especially the one of a kind view from my window. As long as you’re not an entitled whiny baby like some of these other reviewers, you’ll enjoy this experience and relax.

Very expensive for what you get. You’d be able to find a plane at a cheaper cost and faster travel time if you book in advanced. You’ll get amazing views during parts of the trips which is why I went for it. At one point during the trip a passenger from regular coach came into our first class coach and taught my bed was unoccupied because I was sitting on my friends bottom bunk bed, and he laid there. Very awkward and that is not monitored. When people in our room would get off the train, they’d simply shake the sheets and fold them again to make it look as if they were clean and fresh. If you’re going to charge people $40-60 USD please make it a more enjoyable experience.

We had a 2x VIP cabin, traveling from Hanoi to Da Nang. The bed's were comfortable, but a a little bit dirty. The cabin was not very clean and a few bugs were traveling with us. The toilet's were in a bad condition, even at the start of the trip it looked like nobody had cleaned them. The air-condition was very cold and there was no way to turn it off.
All in all was it a good way to travel overnight, the staff was very friendly. But the hygienic standards were very low. The train was very loud, so get yourself some earplugs for the night.

We received an upgrade to Laman and I would book again. It was a pleasant trip and much cleaner than the regular cars. Fortunately we knew there would be no food on the train and brought our own snacks. I would have been starving otherwise.

Clean, comfortable and pretty much on time. We rolled into Danang only 15 minutes late after a 16 hour ride from Hanoi. Only drawback is the lack of eating options. No vendors allowed, and no food served on the Laman Coach apart from the complementary coke, beer, pastry and banana. Food is such an integral part of the Vietnam experience and we were really hoping to sample some local fare on the way. Other than that, we throughly enjoyed the journey. Highly recommended

All went very well! Slight confusion as I was to be on carriage 12 but there were only 10! The train staff are very nice and helpful, made sure everyone was ready to get off at the right stop. Thanks for a great booking service
