Great experience, we’d done intramural flights and sleeper buses. So thought we’d give this a try too.
2 person cabin was clean and comfortable, air con worked fine. They give you a pillow and thin quilt/blanket. Thick mattress with a clean sheet on as well.
Would use again but give the food amiss and take my own noodles (there’s a machine dispensing boiling water)
Toilets were a little grubby but quite useable
All in all a fun experience

Old train, nothing fancy but everything you need to get from a to b. We were lucky enough to get a 4 berth cabin to ourselves which was awesome. They do serve a cheap meal on the train which we didn't know about, it was pretty good $3.50aud for rice veg chicken and soup. You buy a little ticket from one guy and the food is served at around 6pm. Other than that there is a cart with coffee, beer and a few snacks. We did get woken at 5.20 to some god awful music blaring, nasty! At least we didn't miss our stop. Toilets are as bad as you could expect.
