Ik heb genoten van de bedrijvigheid op de kade!
De boot had daardoor wel wat vertraging.
Maar dat moet je niet erg vinden als je met de slow boot gaat. Het is voornamelijk een vrachtboot met wat ruimte voor passagiers.
Maar ook dat had zijn charmes.
Het personeel was heel behulpzaam bij de in- en uitstap. Het was een fijne vaartocht.

the boat was 2h late because they were still packing and unpacking stuff. but when we got to the pier, there was a taxi waiting for us that drove us right to our busstation.

Great journey as always, the slow local ferry is definitely the best way to travel. It left over an hour late, was a beautiful trip and we were met at the other end by a truck taxi who took us to the bus stop in Ranong and let us sit in the back of the open truck 😊. All in, simply perfect.

Went to the bus terminal in Ranong & presented my voucher to exchange for bus ticket / boat ticket. They were not interested to help as I had paid online in advance. Luckily a lovely local lady helped & gave me a lift to the ferry terminal. I brought some boiled eggs off her for breakfast in exchange for the ride. The ferry company did accept the internet voucher so at least that was valid.
My experience is that its best to buy tickets in person when in thailand with cash. Cash is still very much king over here.

Last row again, it's not as comfy because the seat doesn't lean back as far and the motor is loud. Journey was smooth and fast, little snack and water and juice is nice.
Unfortunately noone speaks English, so here is some info:
There was one stop for food and toilet, if you bring your vip bus ticket to the buffet you can get a plate with rice and up to 3 toppings i think. But be very quick with toilets and eating and eat close to the bus, it already left again after about 15-20 minutes.

A wonderful way to get to Koh Phayam, previously we have travelled by speedboat but we enjoyed the ferry so much more. It took 2 hours.

Alles was gereed. Bij aankomst op de pier stond de taxi klaar. De chauffeur van de taxi heeft ons afgezet aan het kantoor van de bus maatschappij, daar hij wist dat we eerst onze tickets moeten ophalen in dit kantoor. Dat is een reiziger helpen. Thanks

Feit we werklast the pier than we had to go with a car to another place to go on the boat....the boat was more like a cargo boat.

Wir hatten ein Ticket Kho Phayam nach Ranong Busstation. Beim Pier in Ranong war kein Bus. Wir mussten ein Taxi nehmen und selbst bezahlen. Schlechter Service.

I paid online and met at the pier in Ranong and got my ticket,smooth and no problem. The boat used two hours,and it was a nice and easy trip.

Perfect trip, turned up at bus station, taxi man called over, checked our tickets and took us to tai kak pier, slow boat left - a little late as usual and arrived about 2 hours later. It was a beautiful journey.

Ferry ride itself was quite relaxing and entertaining.
We also booked a transfer from bus station to the pier but they forgot and we had to contact them. In the end they spontaneously organized a ride and everything was alright.

Bisschen Vetspätung bei der Abfahrt (45 Minuten) aber... was soll's? 😊 Die, die dort das Schiff mit allen möglichen Waren beladen sind die RICHTIGEN Helden. Ich habe sie während der Wartezeit beobachtet... UNFASSBAR wie tüchtig dort ALLE (Frauen und Männer) "anpacken"...

Le ferry est parti à l’heure de Koh Phayam. En revanche j’avais réservé avec le voyagiste un pick up pour le trajet du port jusqu’à la gare routière. J’ai eu à la place un scooter.

La navette pour aller de la gare routière au port devait être un mini van, j’ai eu un un tuktuk à la place. Celui ci transportait des marchandises, je n’avais pas de place ni pour mon sac ni pour m’asseoir. Le port ou part le ferry est le port de marchandise (même chose pour le ferry). Le chargement des marchandises et denrées à destination de Koh Phayam a été plus long que prévu, nous avons quitté Ranong avec plus d’une heure de retard. La traversée quand à elle s’est bien passée.
