I took the bus both ways. The trip from Yangon was better than the return journey. The first bus had more room, the a/c worked and we were given water (and we left 10 mins early). On the return it was a bus in poorer condition. The 2 stops were more obvious as ‘rest’ stops at designated area with ‘facilities’. On the first trip it wasn’t clear and there wet no obvious toilets available on one of the stops. It’s a long way not helped by the endless roadworks near Yangon.

Go Asia charges lot more than in bus locally. But 3 stars is for bus quality and cleanliness which is just a bit extreme. Bus stops every couple minutes but eventually it does the trip in 6 hours or so...

The bus had no AC and was dirty. But got us really fast to Yangon.

Very poor bus operator, broken widows, over crowded with locals on plastic sets down the aisle, no English communication re stop time at breaks, no water provided on return journey. The only good thing was that the bus left Ngwesaung @ 7am (supposedly) whilst other reputable companies left @ 10 am resulting in a late arrival in Yangon for connections.

Positiv ist zu werten das : der Bus pünktlich los fuhr und alle sehr freundlich sind. Man Versuch den Mitreisenden die Fahrt so angenehm wie nur möglich zu machen. Es wird Wasser gereicht für die Fahrt. Man sollte bevor es losgeht nochmals auf die Toilette gehen. Der einzigste Stopp ist nach ca 4Stunden( gefühlter ein halben Tag). Die Fahrt kommt ein ewig vor. Es werden immer wieder kleine Stopps eingelegt nur um und Menschen zu und aussteigen zulassen. Was aber die Fahrt ungemütlich macht ist das soviel wie nur möglich dazu geladen wird z.B. Teppiche. Sodas auch der Gang mit allem erdenklichen Dingen des täglichen Lebens vollgestellt wird. Der Bus ist alt und macht ein das Gefühl das die Fensterscheiben gleich rausfallen und es klappert an jeder Ecke. Ein Abenteuer ist es aber allemal wert. Ich wahr froh endlich angekommen zu sein, da das Hotel und der Strand alles dafür entschädigt.

Wir sind schon öfter und mit verschiedenen Bussen auf der ganzen Welt unterwegs gewesen, deshalb schocken uns die Berichte von anderen Schreibern nicht mehr. Der Bus fuhr pünktlich ab und war vor der angegebenen Zeit da. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt der Fahrt hatten wir das Gefühl, dass der Faher rast oder wie "eine Sau" unterwegs war. Die Straßen sind in einem teilweise erbärmlichen Zustand (abgebrochene Ränder, Schlaglöcher und teilweise gar Schotterpiste). An eine ruhige Fahrt ist daher nicht zu denken. Desweiteren müssen ständig Fußgänger, Rad-, Motorradfahrer und langsame Lastwagen überholt werden. Wer einmal mit dem Bus in den bolivischen Anden oder an steilen Stellen im kolumbianischen Regenwald unterwegs war, für den kommt diese Fahrt richtig komfortabel vor. Ebenso die bemängelten Sitze. Wir hatten genug Platz und konnten uns nicht beschweren. Eine 5 stündige Fahrt auf Holzbänken, ohne Rückenlehne und nur eine Metallstange im Rücken sind da doch ganz anders zu bewerten. Außerdem ist das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ok. Erwartet einfach keine europäischen Verhältnisse und nehmt es lockerer, dann ist die Fahrt nur halb so schlimm.

Bus mit engen Sitzen, etwas versieft. Haelt oft an zusätzlichen Stellen für Einheimische. Aber 1.5 h vor derZeit InYangon angekommen.

Without air condition, dirty, bus was horrible full, to much stops on this way , unfriendly employee, to much paid for this trip

Loved it. When I needed to wee, they stopped the bus and allowed me to do so on the side of the road. Perfect customer service. Plus the place we stopped at for lunch was golden, possibly the best curry I ever had.

Very hot (the A/C did not work at all!!), but otherwise it was okay

The bus stop was not where you said it should be. The bus was very dirty.

As long as you don't expect a luxury VIP Bus like JJ Express (who don't operate on this route), this is a cheap and reliable option to get to or away from the beach. A/C was just enough to cool the bus a little bit down, which is how we prefer it. Departure times seem to vary so always check a couple of days before through your guesthouse when and where the bus departs. Expect a 5:30 hour trip with 1-2 stops, even if the arrival time stated on the voucher indicates it's longer.
