-تنطلق القطارات في موعدها المحدد، لكن أن تنطلق في خارجها إطارها الزمني أمرٌ ممكن حدوثه، وقد تكون التأخيرات أو الانطلاقات كبيرة، لذلك إذا كنت تخطط لانطلاق رحلتك، تحقق بعناية من وقت وصول القطار إلى المحطة وفكر مليًا.
- تعتبر النظافة في بعض الأحيان مشكلة في تذاكر الدرجتين الثانية والثالثة، وكذلك مع دورات المياه.
- إذا توقف قطارك كثيرًا، فمن الصعب في بعض الحالات معرفة وقت النزول حيث لا يتم دائمًا الإعلان بوضوح عن المحطات أو تمييزها باستثناء شاشة إلكترونية.

It was so damn cold. It felt like 16-17 degrees. However, I slept like a Baby. And such a night train is just awesome from a time Perspective (not Llosing too much). Would do again.
We will just remember to put on some more cloth.
Oh and better ask for the prices of food and beverages on the train. They are quite expensive.

Ik heb deze trein al vaker genomen van bangkok naar chaing mai en andersom. Ongeveer 4/5 keer totaal.
Elke keer prima ervaring mer 12go nooit problemen. De trein zelf is altijd op tijd en schoon. Personeel in de trein is heel vriendelijk. Het enige nadeel is de airco die hard blaast.
Tevens was het voor mij niet mogelijk om een digitale ticket te krijgen. Het ophalen bij het hoofdkantoor in bangkok is helaas ook een nadeel

Too small bed for me, I am tall and also AC too cold but overall it was okay;) I would add some power socket in upper bed because there are some only very low and I couldn’t charge my phone.

Train was delayed by 10 minutes, but the train staff were helpful - no information on the notice boards.
The train was quiet and clean, everyone was asleep by 10pm with nobody snoring! We felt very lucky, as we got a good sleep in. No train changes and few stops, everyone was lovely onboard, lots of other backpackers.

Die Tickets wurden nicht zum Hotel gesendet wie anfangs ausgewählt, der Versand wurde erstattet aber war etwas doof da wir wie Tickets so noch kurzfristig abholen mussten.
Die Fahrt ging vom neuen Bahnhof in Bangkok aus, der wirklich einfach mit der BTS zu erreichen war.
Das Gleis war leicht zu finden und der Checkin war Problemlos.
Man konnte auf alle Fälle gut schlafen, toller Vibe im Nachtzug, es gab Essen und war ein totaler Traum im Süden bei Sonnenaufgang wach zu werden. Werde ich in Zukunft immer machen um in den Süden zu kommen! Tolle Erfahrung, unbedingt ausprobieren :-)

Everything super smooth. First Class Sleeper cabins are awesome, though I was impressed by 2nd Class cabin too, only a curtain for privacy but hey you're sleeping anyway!

I was pleased with my trip. Before the journey, my concerns were overcrowding, a sleepless night, having to set up the berth myself, and hunger. But my fears were unfounded. The train was uncrowded, I slept comfortably in a cozy berth, and a male attendant set up the berths himself. I was never hungry nor thirsty, because there were a lot of hawkers boarding the train from time to time to sell foodstuff. I now know that Thai Railways made sure it's passengers would be satisfied.

The train trip was great. We were travelling 1st class in a sleeper cabin. The toilets were very clean too, The only issue was the train station in Chiang Mai was very basic and old. And there was a lot of confusion about where we should be boarding the train.

Surprisingly comfortable ride, modern carriages with spacious berths/seats (the berths could be too short for a tall person though)
What bothered me a little is that the lights were really bright all night, also the curtains don't block the light well.

The #85 overnight train from BKK to Surat Thani was overall a solid experience. Ticketing, arrival and boarding were smooth. The process for changing seats to beds was efficient. The seats/beds were comfortable and the A/C was welcomed.
The only issues we faced were that we arrived over an hour late (which isn't uncommon for railways in Thailand) and there were vendors that would get on the train to sell food coming up and down the aisles which in general we didn't mind but they had some come by as late as 11pm when we were trying to sleep.
Overall, we would do it again.

Fuimos en coche cama 1ra clase que tienes tú cabina privada para ti y un acompañante (en literas),los baños son compartidos y hay una ducha. El servicio muy bien, puntual y amables. Es un poco difícil dormir por el movimiento… no le doy 5 estrellas por que en tantas horas me falto un servicio de comidas o un bar …. Llevar la cena con vosotros :)

The 1st class sleeper is comfortable and has lot of privacy. My children loved the mango with colored sticky rice that was served on the train. Could not have had a better trip 👍

We had a nice experience on the night train. It was very clean and on time. The airco was cold, so bring a sweater. The lights stay on the entire night, so bring something to cover your eyes. Due to covid there were no food services on the train, so you can best bring your own food.

Overall a good service We were picked up at hotel, taken to ferry and met at the other side before dropping us at the train station. We were under no time restraint but at Donsak pier the van waited for an hour with no explanation. A brief explanation would have been helpful for those catching an earlier train.

The train ride was a nice and adventures experience.
As per E-Mail from 12Go, the opening hours of the parcel shop to pick up the ticket was only until 5pm. But actually the parcel shop is open pretty much 24hours. This gives more flexibility to pick up the tickets especially for late evening departures.

The train is very comfortable and clean but the conditions of conditioned air filters is bad. They need to be replaced to make the air more breathable.

Tickets were very easy to collect from the office and the staff very helpful.
Train journey itself was comfortable for 2nd class and arrived pretty much on time.

I took the train first class. To me, that is the way to go overnight. It was over 17 hours, but it didn't feel like it. I had a compartment with a bed and a sink, plus an electrical outlet, all to myself. The only drawback was I got very little sleep because the motion and the people in the compartment next to me were watching a movie till midnight, but that is not the fault of the railway. Helpful and friendly staff.

But keep in mind no wifi and maybe during covid you only get one free water… so bring some more water, snacks or food. AC was great bit definitely got cold so maybe bring a jumper.

It was a nice experience! I would do it again. The guy from the office gave us helpful advice. beds were comfortable! In general the Service was great!

Everything was good, but it was hard to find the exact time where one could pick up the tickets at the office. Everywhere was written open until 8:00pm but pick up actually stops at 7pm. I arrived at 7:50pm and the office was already closed.
Need to be improved: there should be a phone number to reach the office.
