Pattaya gears up for weekend of laughs

Pattaya Players has arranged three comedy evenings for this weekend. The Thai seaside resort’s theatrical group is staging a series of artful comedy skits at the Eastern Grand Palace tonight and tomorrow plus an extra evening at Ben’s Theatre in Jomtien on Sunday 29 March.

Tickets for the Eastern Grand Palace shows cost THB700 apiece and include a pre-show buffet dinner. Dinner and a complimentary welcome drink are served from 18:00 onwards and the show proper starts at 19:30. This venue is on Soi Khao Talo and close to the Outlet Mall on Sukhumvit Road.

Doors for the show at Ben’s Theatre on Sunday open at 18:30 and the show begins 30 minutes later. Tickets are THB1,000 and include a tapas themed buffet which can be enjoyed at rest intervals during the proceedings.

The Ben’s Theatre show has a limited number of seats available and the organisers recommend that people planning to attend pre-book their tickets. The shows have been skilfully choreographed by Pattaya Players directors Alan Blackwood, Sheldon Penner and Duane Hauch.
